Entering a Video Project in a Film Festival

When entering a film in a film festival its important to remember that, festivals are very competitive and it is important to have your best work. Also as I discussed last week when entering your film in a festival it is important to closely read all guidelines for entering a film. A indie film festival is a good way to get your film out for people to view.

The clip above won first place at the Cannes Film Festival. Since the Cannes Film Festival is a large film festival they often don't have time limits for there entries. It is important to note that film makers can still get there video project out and available to see without entering it in a film festival. With modern technology as it is today films are often viewed through the use of youtube or google video. If a film maker is competitive and wants to enter their film in a film festival, they should check out the film festivals web page to get the guidelines to enter in the festival.  This way the  film maker will be able to make there festival package according to specific film festival guidelines.
