Why White Balance

Anyone that has ever spent any time filming and editing videos has surely heard the words white balance. Why is white balancing your camera important? White balance is important because it gives camera footage the highest quality color possible. The camera operator should always white balance their camera before each shoot to insure the highest quality of footage. White balance constantly needs to be changed depending on the location of a shoot. For example, when filming indoors the white balance would need to be much different that when filming outdoors.
The video shown above not only explains why white balance is important, but it also explains how to white balance your camera in different settings. The video corresponds with a belief that I already had, when the shirtless man explains that white balancing your camera can be the difference between professional grade footage and amateur footage. It's really cool that camera operators can use white balance techniques to make peoples skin tones look warmer.

Good video and comments. The explanation for using a warm card for warm skin tone in interview footage is excellent.
