Licensing Music for a Documentary

Licensing music for a documentary can be done multiple different ways. A documentary crew can ask any friends they have that are in a band to donate music to there documentary. Or the crew could ask a band they like for the rights to use their music. However, this is not always a practical way to get music and there are other options.

The advertisement above is for a website called Rumblefish. Rumblefish is a music licensing website. a documentary crew could search rumblefish's databases for the type of music they would want in their documentary. Once the desired music is found, the crew can pay for a license to use the music in there documentary. If the crew doesn't have money to pay for music they can also use some of the numerous appleloops that come free with Final Cut Pro.
